Dose

By mouth

Child 6–12 years

½–1 tablet every 4–6 hours; max. 4 tablets daily

Child 12–18 years

1–2 tablets every 4–6 hours; max. 8 tablets daily

The Drug Tariff allows tablets of co-codamol labelled ‘dispersible' to be dispensed against an order for ‘effervescent’ and vice versa
